pepe's first guitar purchase

chris broke down yesterday. his old guitar has been getting too much smacking. pepe has been refusing to play it on the floor, and would pick it up and drop it frustrated that it was too heavy for him. one time out later chris comes to his senses and agrees that pepe needs his own guitar. so after the nap, i took him to toys'r us to get the guitar. after the usual car hopping, following other kids around, shouting "oh, no, i drive that one, it's mine" when another kid attempted to get into one of the many, many toy-cars, and the usual chase around the store, we purchased the guitar and were on our way home. of course, pepe with his super developed id required instant gratification in the form of playing the guitar "now", i mean, in the car. which he did. all the way home. and he was adorable. he held the guitar over his car seat, and jammed it on the tunes of "abc's", hello (which goes "hello, to daddy, so glad to see you, hello to...mommy, petru,grandma, buni, and everyone else he knows) and "it's raining, it's pouring" (with the happy version when the man actually ' wakes up in the moooooooooooooorning'.
the concert continued at home when i was required to play the piano, and chris the "big guitar". it was one of those moments that i wanted to be able to share with everyone we love, and everyone he loves. i did take a couple of bad pictures (coz the batteries were low) and we charged the video camera battery and i am sure there will be more concerts to capture in the near and further future. rock on little boy!
