Pepe's teacher Leslie is moving to China to teach ESL. She has been talking to the kids about it, to help with the transition. This is a conversation told to us by her.

Nap time. Pepe talks. Leslie comes over.
Les;ie: shssss! shsss! (the leaves)
P: Where you going? Where you going? China?

Last night. On out bed. Pepe procrastinating going to bed.

P: I sleep here (eyes closed)
AM: For a little bit.
P: Yes, coz I am scared...
AM: Yes, why?
P: I just scared..
AM: It's OK, when you are scared just think of mommy and daddy and we will protect you from anything.
P: OK
AM: You know, it's OK to be scared. Mommy is scared sometimes.
P: Yes, and when you scared, I come and protect you. (gives me a kiss).
